The Combined Bedford Star Masters Squad successful in 5 days of racing

The Combined Bedford Star Masters Squad returned from Hungary this week after 5 days of racing at Lake Velence, near Budapest.

The regatta attracted over 5000 entries representing 52 countries and concluded on Sunday with 89 races in mixed gender crews.

The competition was fierce, but 14 months’ of solid training shone through from the club participants and Bedford Star finished as the top GB Club and came second in the world (out of 723 Clubs) in the Men’s Victor Ludorum.  The medal haul was impressive, with 5 Golds and a number of very close second places.
